What you (may) expect
In this role you will be part of the HR Marine department. The HR Marine department is responsible for all HR matters for the personnel aboard the Anthony Veder fleet. Among other things, the HR Marine department is responsible for providing trained and motivated crew within AV's business requirements. You are responsible for a large group of seafarers, their budgets and crew composition on board. This includes the planning and development of the Captains and Chief engineers and coordination with our manning agents.
As Crewing Manager, you ensure the effective and compliant staffing of our fleet, balancing operational requirements with crew development, wellbeing and retention.:
Ensure vessels are staffed with qualified crew members in line with operational and client requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with seafarers and serve as their primary point of contact for crewing-related matters.
Support the professional development and career progression of crew members.
Improve working practices and procedures within the HR Marine department.
Conduct performance and development reviews together with the Mater, Chief Engineer and Vessel Manager.
Manage illness, welfare and employee relations cases where required.
Collaborate with manning agents to maintain an effective talent pipeline.
Contribute to recruitment activities and the continuous improvement of crewing processes and policies.

What we ask
A bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resource Management or a related field.
Experience in crewing, maritime HR or maritime operations
Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
The ability to build trusted relationships with seafarers and external partners.
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Flexibility and willingness to travel to our vessels when required.]
Experience as a seafarer, particularly on gas tankers, is considered a strong advantage.
